Pictures

Most of these pictures are from our more recent picks the bulk of our work is shared on Facebook. This is a free website and were limited with what we can do with it.

Looking towards the town of Rothesay 👇

Rubbish collected off Barone Hill 01,05,21 this is mainly coming from locals throughout lock down we walk and monitor these walks monthly so we know it's locals and looking at the alcohol related rubbish I'd say it's from the younger generation. Cans of Dragon Soup and mad dog 20/20 is the young teams drink and yes they mix it together to create a lethal cocktail so I'm told 🤔

We climb up to our Trig points as well this is a picture from Barone Hill  Sat 1st May 21

Bute Wombles have been busy since April last year 2020 first lockdown when we noticed more and more litter was being dropped on our country walks and around the west Island way, even the highest points wasn't alone with people doing trig point challenges we are aware it's not everyone but it's definitely some of you. Normal I'd walk these routes regularly and never see anyone 2020 saw loads of people out and about on these walks exercising.

Stop The Drop littering & fly-tipping

Bute Wombles are a Litter Action Group and have been made a local Hub for Bute. We are out most weekends walking hiking and wild camping when weather and work permits us to. We pick up litter on our hikes around the island and up and down from our highest points to.
